By using our website or services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our services.

Usage & Analytics Data
We use PostHog to collect anonymized product analytics — including pages viewed, feature interactions, and session behavior — to improve our platform and user experience. PostHog is configured to respect user privacy and does not sell data to third parties.
API Credentials & Platform Usage
When you register for a platform account or activate an API subscription, we collect your account registration details and generate API keys and authentication tokens tied to your account. We also log request metadata (timestamps, endpoints called, response statuses) for security, debugging, and usage-tier enforcement purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To respond to project inquiries and evaluate engagement opportunities submitted via the contact form.
- To provision, operate, and maintain your API access, platform account, and associated infrastructure.
- To enforce usage tier limits, rate limiting, and security controls tied to your API credentials.
- To send transactional communications such as billing confirmations, account alerts, and service notices.
- To improve our website content, performance, and developer experience using aggregated analytics.
- To comply with applicable legal obligations and enforce our Terms & Conditions.
3. Third-Party Services
We work with a limited set of trusted third-party providers to operate our platform:
- Google OAuth: We offer sign-in via Google OAuth. When you authenticate with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google solely to create or identify your BitStacx account. We do not receive your Google password or access your Google data beyond what is required for authentication.
- GitHub OAuth: We offer sign-in via GitHub OAuth. When you authenticate with GitHub, we receive your GitHub username, public email address, and profile information solely to create or identify your BitStacx account. We do not access your repositories or private GitHub data beyond what is required for authentication.
- Paddle (Merchant of Record): All payment processing, recurring billing, invoicing, and global tax compliance are handled by Paddle. When you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment card details and billing information are collected and stored directly by Paddle — BitStacx does not store or have access to raw payment card data. Paddle's processing is governed by their own privacy policy.
- PostHog (Product Analytics): We use PostHog to collect anonymized product usage analytics including page views, feature interactions, and session behavior. PostHog data is used solely to improve platform usability and performance. PostHog does not sell user data to third parties.
4. Data Retention
Contact form submissions are retained for as long as necessary to evaluate and respond to your inquiry. Platform account data, API logs, and usage records are retained for the duration of your active subscription and for a reasonable period thereafter for legal, audit, and fraud prevention purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at support@bitstacx.com.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), rate limiting on all API endpoints, and access controls to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Cookies
Our website and platform use cookies and similar technologies for authentication sessions (including OAuth flows) and functional site operation. PostHog may store anonymized identifiers to track session behavior. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. For full details, refer to our Cookie Policy.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Object to or restrict certain processing activities.
